Annual Bachelor Project (3SRC)

KASGRUNT Project - Response to tender for IT system creation

Design of a complete, resilient, and highly available IT system for Kasgrunt to interconnect the headquarters (Paris), the secondary site (Reims), and a remote DRP site.

Technical specifications implemented:

  • Virtualization & HA Cluster: Deployment of a bare-metal Proxmox VE hypervisor cluster with virtual machine migration (HA) in case of physical host failure.
  • Network & IPsec VPN: Routing and multi-site interconnection modeled on EVE-NG, redundant IPsec VPN tunnels between headquarters, branch, and DRP, with traffic filtering by dual-level Fortinet firewalls.
  • Storage & Backup: Shared NFS storage on TrueNAS (with high availability), and infrastructure backup policy via Veeam Backup.
  • Monitoring & SIEM: I/O and performance monitoring with Zabbix and Grafana, email and instant messaging alerting, centralized log server (Syslog) and SIEM for security auditing.
  • Services & Communications: Active Directory domain controller (Windows Server 2022) for centralized access management, redundant Asterisk IP telephony, and containerized Mailcow email server.

MYHOUSE Project - System, network, and Stormshield filtering infrastructure

Deployment and securing of the MyHouse real estate agency IT infrastructure on the VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization platform.

Technical specifications implemented:

  • Active Directory: Deployment of redundant domain controllers for centralized identity management, including DHCP servers with dedicated scopes per LAN.
  • File Servers: High Availability file server cluster with DFSR replication.
  • Data Security (FSRM): Strict restriction of storage on network drives (only pdf, docx, xlsx, txt) with active blocking of other extensions (e.g., bmp images).
  • Filtering & Routing: Dual Stormshield Network Security firewalls (SNS1 & SNS2) with routing, NAT, and Port Forwarding.

VD Project (Vert Demain) - Security, VPN & Captive Portal for a Start-up

Design and securing of the startup "Vert Demain" (VD) infrastructure, issuer of a proprietary cryptocurrency (Vcoin), to meet confidentiality and high growth requirements.

Technical specifications implemented:

  • Network Security (Stormshield): Fine configuration of the SNS firewall: DHCP Relay, strict HTTP/HTTPS filtering rules, SSL decryption via SSL Proxy with URL blacklisting, and deployment of root certificates on Windows 10 clients.
  • Mobility & Teleworking: Implementation of an SSL VPN server linked to users of the vpnssl AD security group to secure remote access.
  • Captive Portal: Implementation of a captive authentication portal on the Stormshield firewall to control Internet access.
  • AD Services & GPOs: Deployment of the vd.fr domain with OU structuring, password complexity policies (FGPP), and GPO mapping of shared and personal drives (secured NTFS).
  • PowerShell Automation: Writing administration scripts: auditing recently created users, tracking recent logins, and random complex password generator for newcomers.
